Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County
RITE PAC is challenging a state law that allows individuals who have never lived in Arizona—or anywhere in the United States—to vote in Arizona elections, simply because one of their parents is registered in the state.
Arizona’s constitution clearly limits voting to U.S. citizens who have actually lived in the state. Allowing people to vote based solely on a parent’s registration status undermines that requirement. RITE PAC is asking the court to overturn this unconstitutional law and ensure that only those who have lived in Arizona can help decide its elections.
On July 28, 2025, defendants moved to dismiss. On October 22, the Superior Court denied the motion.
