(Phoenix, AZ – June 30, 2025) – Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections PAC (“RITE PAC”) has sued Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes in state court to stop the illegal registration of, and voting by, individuals who have never lived in Arizona or anywhere in the United States. The case challenges a state law that allows U.S. citizens born abroad to vote in all Arizona elections based solely on their parent’s registration in the state. This law directly conflicts with Arizona’s Constitution that specifically requires individuals to be residents of the state in order to vote there.
“Residency is not something that can be inherited like a family heirloom,” said RITE PAC President and CEO Justin Riemer. “Arizona’s Constitution is crystal clear: voting is reserved for those who live in Arizona. Allowing people who have never set foot in the state to cast ballots is an affront to the concept of self-governance and undermines the integrity of the state’s elections.”
The complaint asks the court to block election officials from registering or accepting ballots from individuals who have never been Arizona residents.
